“Nala is amazing. Great communication and professionalism. Her expertise in lymph drainage is exactly what I was looking for. After several major surgeries I was desperately looking for a lymphatic massage therapist and I found Nala on google and immediately booked a 120 minute session. My 2 hour session was incredible! Nala moved so much fluid out of my body during the session and I’m still releasing fluids at home. I signed up for weekly 2 hour sessions because Nala is the BEST! Thank you Nala!” Stephanie J.

Micropoint Stimulation MPS Therapy

Client Testimonials

Here’s what my clients are saying:

What Is Micropoint Stimulation MPS Therapy?

Micropoint Stimulation Therapy (MPS) is a revolutionary hybrid modality that combines ancient eastern medicine and modern western medicine using a device called Dolphin Neurostim. Designed to treat chronic and acute soft tissue pain and scars and adhesions by applying concentrated microcurrent impulses to trigger, motor, and acupuncture points, providing quick and effective pain relief. MPS Therapy has also been proven highly effective in the area of scar and adhesion treatment.

Scars directly connect to the skin through the peripheral and central nervous systems, so any injury to the skin or underlying fascia will cause a prolonged sympathetic response. It is theorized that each surgery or injury compounds this stress aggravation until the sympathetic nervous system goes into hyper load, resulting in disease or prolonged chronic post-surgical pain. It is reported up to one third of patients undergoing common surgical procedures report persistent or intermittent pain, called chronic post surgical pain (CPSP), of varying severity at one year postoperatively.

By targeting direct cellular stimulation of microcurrent waves through the scars, this simple procedure works by releasing the tense scar contracture which in turn reduces dermal trauma, adhesions, and fascial restrictions.

How Can Micropoint Stimulation Therapy Help Me?

Applied by a non-invasive point stimulator, MPS current produces a low 2-4 Hz frequency acupuncture-like stimulation. This therapy provides fast, safe, and effective reduction of muscle tension, nervous system stress and up-regulation, guarding, and pain response.

MPS applies brief, concentrated DC microcurrent impulses to specific treatment points to relax muscles, calm the nervous system and release endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. Scar Release therapy (SRT) is a technique that involves applying MPS Therapy to each side of visible scars with microcurrent therapy to “repolarize” the local tissue and release fascia and muscles influenced by the scar. This technique should not be underestimated in its potency. Releasing scars that influence the pain site can sometimes be the single most important factor in the treatment of chronic pain.

Treatment benefits with MPS Therapy includes:  releasing muscle tension and joint restriction, modulates the autonomic nervous system and decreases sympathetic up-regulation, repolarizes and releases scar tissue, decreases pain and tissue sensitivity, myofascial release and increasd circulation, releases natural endorphins, decreases restriction around neural pathways.
